Outdoors at The Addison was the perfect venue, and the weather cooperated for hundreds of canines on a leash, in arms and carriers and even on cell phone photos in absentia. Some of their dogs were just not social animals, as one pet person explained.
Tri County’s co-founder and executive director Suzi Goldsmith was thrilled at the sold-out turnout for this fourth bark and brunch. “We’re so happy there’s so many people here so we can continue our rescues,” she said, on the verge of rescuing 38 more dogs from harm. Her staff wore tee-shirts with the message: ‘Who rescued who.”
PR agency owner Joanne Polin and auctioneer Neil and Trish Saffer co-chaired Tri County’s major fundraiser, and Joanne’s Oliver and the Saffers’ Daisy were co-cover dogs on the invitation. Oliver and Joanne were seated with Cris Martinez, WPBF25 meteorologist and his pup Colton. Ted Campbell was honored for his dedication to animal welfare, and CBS12 morning co-anchor Sam Kerrigan emceed. Neil conducted a live auction that even included a private chimp experience. The event included shopping at clothes, jewelry and accessory vendors, including Eileen Kramer’s wares with canine faces on pocketbooks, and fashions etc. from Beach House Boutique.

The recent brunch raised funds for Boca’s no-kill shelter; rescue of 89,000 dogs so far; and canine and feline adoption center with a hospital and extensive veterinary services. Tri County has a pet surrender and afterlife care, too. https://www.tricountyanimalrescue.com/
