proceeds

their
2024

Mayors
Ball,
Rotary
Club
Downtown
Boca
Raton’s
Bob
Tucker
previewed
the
2025
gala,
their
10th.
Advertisements
“It’s
a
wrap
for
the
Mayors
Ball
2024,”
said
Tucker,
reprising
his
role
as
the
gala’s
producer.
He
revealed
the
flyer
at
the
May
16
gathering.
The
2025
Boca
Raton
Mayors
Ball
will
be
held
Nov.
1
at
The
Boca
Raton.
Three
of
the
four
awards
are
named
for
former
Boca
Raton
mayors.
The
2025
honorees
will
be:

Saldana,
general
manager
of
Town
Center
at
Boca
Raton
and
Boca
Chamber
chairman,
George
Long
Award -
Zoe
Lanham,
vice
president
of
The
Addison,
J.C.
Mitchell
Award -
Tim
Snow,
president
of
George
Snow
Scholarship
Fund,
Susan
Whelchel
Award -
Gary
Peters,
Boca
Helping
Hands’
longtime
board
president,
Addison
Mizner
Award,
Boca
Raton’s
first
architect
and
planner
in
1925

The
Boca
Raton
Mayors
Ball
is
under
the
aegis
of
Rotary
Club
Downtown
Boca
Raton
Fund.
The
2025
presenting
sponsor
is
the
Terra
&
Frisbie
Group,
Boca
Raton’s
pending
interim
partner
to
design
the
city’s
new
government
campus.
Mayors
Ball
single
tickets
will
go
on
sale
Sept.
1,
Tucker
said.

Earlier,
club
president
Bruce
Spizler
welcomed
members
and
representatives
of
the
nonprofits
chosen
to
receive
proceeds
from
the
2024
Mayors
Ball. Jeff
Weber,
chairman
of
Rotary
Club
Downtown
Boca
Raton
Fund,
made
the
club’s
Service
Above
Self
grant
presentations. “Not
every
organization
that
applied
for
a
grant
received
one,”
Weber
said,
adding
the
decision
is
always
difficult.
Applicants
have
to
show
how
their
program
serves
the
club’s
mission
of
health
and
wellness
and
will
serve
at
least
part
of
the
Boca
Raton
community.
Each
representative
was
introduced
and
given
time
to
present
their
organization’s
mission.
The
grant
recipients
are:
Representatives
from
N.O.W.,
Sweet
Dream
Makers
and
Best
Foot
Forward
were
unable
to
attend,
Weber
confirmed
later.

AACY.
