BOCA RATON, FL – April 11, 2025, 8:00 AM EDT – The National Weather Service in Miami continues to warn residents and visitors of a High Rip Current Risk along Palm Beach County beaches. Dangerous surf conditions are expected to persist through Saturday morning, making swimming and surfing hazardous.

Rip currents remain a serious threat across the Atlantic coastline, particularly in Coastal Palm Beach County. Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water unless near a lifeguard and to be extra cautious, even in seemingly calm areas.
These fast-moving channels of water can pull swimmers out to sea and are difficult to detect. Localized beach erosion is also possible due to the persistent surf action.
The rip current risk will remain high into early Saturday along the Atlantic beaches. On the Gulf side, conditions are expected to deteriorate as a cold front moves across the region, increasing the potential for hazardous beach conditions later in the weekend.

Additionally, low humidity values are forecast over the weekend, potentially leading to elevated fire weather conditions across parts of South Florida. The situation will continue to be monitored closely by the National Weather Service.
- Swim near a lifeguard and follow all posted beach warnings.
- If caught in a rip current: remain calm, float, and swim parallel to the shore to escape the pull.
- Avoid entering the water alone or during red flag conditions.
- Keep up with marine forecasts before heading out for boating or beach activities.
