Beachgoers along the Atlantic Coast, including Palm Beach County beaches, should be cautious due to a moderate risk of rip currents. Swimmers are encouraged to heed posted warnings and swim near lifeguard towers.
Mariners, particularly those navigating waters east of Palm Beach County, should take note of hazardous conditions offshore. Winds from the south to southwest are expected to reach speeds around 20 knots, creating choppy seas and difficult boating conditions.
Tuesday Through the Weekend: Storms and Increasing Flood Risk
Looking ahead, Tuesday may bring a cold front that could trigger thunderstorms throughout the region. Some of these storms may be strong, bringing gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Localized flooding is a concern, especially in east coast metro areas like Boca Raton and Delray Beach, where multiple rounds of downpours are possible.

The risk of rip currents is expected to increase on the Gulf Coast as onshore flow strengthens.
Marine Hazards Continue Midweek
Hazardous marine conditions will likely continue through early Tuesday, particularly in northern Atlantic waters. Later in the week, increasing northerly swells may bring another round of rough seas, impacting boating and fishing activities throughout Palm Beach County’s offshore zones.
What You Can Do
- Check beach flags and talk to lifeguards before swimming.
- Avoid boating in hazardous offshore waters unless experienced and well-prepared.
- Monitor local forecasts and stay updated with alerts.
While spotter activation is not expected, residents should still take all necessary precautions as weather conditions evolve.
