Boca Raton, FL – The 19th Annual Festival of the Arts Boca is in full swing with world-class performances, thought-provoking discussions, and unforgettable cultural moments at Mizner Park Amphitheater. With a lineup featuring bestselling authors, a classic film screening with live orchestration, contemporary ballet, and a grand musical tribute to Boca Raton’s centennial, the Festival’s closing days promise to be extraordinary.

Highlights include:

  • March 4 at 7 p.m. – Authors & Ideas: In the Dog House – This moving documentary chronicles the incredible work of Danny & Ron’s Rescue, showcasing their dedication to saving abandoned and abused dogs.
  • March 5 at 7 p.m. – Authors & Ideas: Carl Hiaasen – The bestselling author, known for his satirical and wildly entertaining novels set in Florida, joins the Festival to share insights into his work and inspirations.
  • March 6 at 7 p.m. – Authors & Ideas: Amy Herman – Renowned author, lawyer, and consultant Amy Herman presents an engaging talk on how art can enhance decision-making and conflict resolution in today’s world.
  • March 7 at 7:30 p.m. – Back to the Future in Concert – Celebrate the 40th anniversary of this beloved film with a special screening accompanied by a live symphony orchestra, bringing the iconic soundtrack to life in an exhilarating cinematic experience.
  • March 8 at 7:30 p.m. – An Evening of Contemporary Ballet – Experience a breathtaking fusion of classical ballet, modern dance, and contemporary movement featuring former principal dancers from world-renowned companies such as Martha Graham, Paul Taylor, José Limón, and Alvin Ailey, alongside talented local students.
  • March 9 at 7 p.m. – Boca Raton Centennial Celebration – The Festival concludes with a spectacular multimedia concert honoring Boca Raton’s rich history and promising future. Featuring the Festival Boca Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Kyle Prescott, this performance will include music from every decade of Boca’s history, from the big band era to the present, culminating in the world premiere of a specially commissioned piece by FAU composer Kevin Wilt.
