A
29-year-old
Moore
Haven
woman
was
killed
early
Wednesday
morning
in
a
two-vehicle
collision
along
US
Highway
27
near
Mutt
Thomas
Road,
according
to
the
Palm
Beach
County
Sheriff’s
Office.

crash
occurred
at
approximately
5:54
a.m.
on
May
21,
2025,
just
west
of
Mutt
Thomas
Road
in
the
Lake
Harbor
area.
Crash
Details
Investigators
say
Natalie
Leavy,
driving
a
2022
Nissan
Altima,
was
heading
northbound
on
US
27
in
the
outside
lane.
Meanwhile,
a
2018
Kenworth
semi-truck,
driven
by
Wigberto
Figueroa,
41,
of
Kissimmee,
was
traveling
southbound
in
the
inside
lane.
For
reasons
still
under
investigation,
Leavy
lost
control
of
her
vehicle,
which
began
to
yaw
northeast
across
the
center
median—crossing
into
the
path
of
the
oncoming
semi.
The
front
of
the
semi
struck
the
passenger-side
front
corner
panel
of
the
Altima.

force
of
the
impact
caused
Leavy’s
vehicle
to
overturn
and
come
to
rest
on
its
driver
side,
facing
southwest.
Leavy,
who
was
not
wearing
a
seatbelt,
was
ejected
from
the
vehicle
and
pronounced
dead
at
the
scene.
The
semi-truck
rotated
and
slid
southbound,
ultimately
coming
to
rest
across
the
northbound
lanes
of
US
27.
Figueroa
was
not
injured.
Authorities
confirmed
that
alcohol
and
drugs
were
not
factors
in
the
crash.
Charges
are
not
anticipated
at
this
time.
