If you live in the city limits of a dozen municipalities but not Boca Raton, this Tuesday March 11 is an Election Day. Why not Boca? None of the five city council seats are up for grabs this year, despite term limits. In fact, Deputy Mayor Yvette Drucker has already filed and started her fundraising campaign for the next Florida state senate election, district 26, as a Democrat. Boca city council is non-partisan.

One more important voting FYI for newbies. Boca Raton and other city addresses include places west of city limits in suburban Palm Beach County. Residents who live outside any city limits, including Boca’s, can’t vote in municipal elections. Boca Raton’s city web site has a map allowing registered voters to determine if they live in city limits or not. They may qualify as a resident of the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, but only for the purposes of costs for a Boca Raton annual beach sticker and Boca’s public recreational facilities and activities: https://myboca.us/2404/Determine-Your-Residency
Here’s the municipalities in Palm Beach County that have an election on Tuesday: Boynton Beach, Golf, Highland Beach, Jupiter, Lake Park, Lake Worth Beach, Lantana, Loxahatchee Groves, Pahokee, Palm Beach Gardens, Riveria Beach and Royal Palm Beach.
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections oversees all elections, including municipal, primaries, state and national, voter registration, poll workers and more, and tracks all results on the website: https://www.palmbeachelections.gov/
