Spring has officially sprung – and to local foodies and oenophiles in Boca and beyond, that means one special attraction in particular – the Boca Bacchanal! Yes, the beloved event is happening again on SUNDAY, APRIL 6 at the Addison in Boca Raton. Now celebrating its 22nd consecutive year, the Boca Bacchanal is recognized as one of the area’s longest lasting and most esteemed food & wine events, with a special focus on the wine (Bacchanal is, after all, a tribute to Bacchus, the God of Wine.). This premier festival benefits the Boca Historical Society and the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum, and again promises “an unparalleled experience of culinary excellence and exquisite wines” beams Mary Csar, Executive Director of the Boca Raton Historical Society, “And this year is particularly special as we celebrate Boca Raton’s 100th anniversary!”
As usual, the Bacchanal kicked off in grand style with its Bacchus Beckons launch in February, revealing this year’s Vintner Dinner hosts, chefs, and vintners. The highly anticipated Vintner Dinners take place April 3, 4 & 5 at exclusive private homes and distinguished venues throughout Boca Raton. These intimate five-course dining experiences pair world-class vintners with celebrated chefs for an unforgettable culinary journey. This year’s local celebrity Chefs for the Vintner Dinners include: Jeff Tunks of Corvina Seafood Grill; Eric Baker of AlleyCat; Angelo Elia, Casa D’Angelo, Michael Beck of Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, and Roberto Baratta of Italian Station Café. Tickets to the Vitner Dinners are $350. NOTE: Tickets to the Vintner Dinners is very limited and usually sell out, so check the website for availability.
This year also marks the debut of a new event, a special Cocktail Soirée, “Celebrating 100 Years of Mizner” on April 5, hosted by special celebrity guest, “Food God” Jonathan Cheban. Tickets to the Cocktail Soirée are $275 per person.
