West Palm Beach, FL – May 13, 2025 — A 69-year-old West Palm Beach man has died from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash that occurred on May 9, 2025, near the intersection of Collin Drive and Kirk Road.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Joseph Albert was riding his bicycle eastbound across Kirk Road within a marked crosswalk, just south of Collin Drive.
At the same time, Denis Javier Salinas Murillo, 24, was driving a 2020 Ford F-150 westbound on Collin Drive and attempted to turn left onto Kirk Road.
As Albert crossed, Murillo accelerated into the intersection, making the left turn and struck Albert with the front of the vehicle. The impact ejected the bicyclist, who came to rest on the pavement. Murillo stopped the vehicle in the northbound lanes of Kirk Road.

Albert was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on May 12, 2025.
Authorities report no signs of alcohol or drug use. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
