First Serve Miami coaches, Renata Zarazúa and Nicolás Jarry host first clinic of 2025 at Hard Rock Stadium with Protective and Amigos for Kids
Boca Raton, FL – The Miami Open presented by Itaú announced that First Serve Miami will be the year-round Official Community Tennis Program Partner supporting aspiring tennis players in the community at the heart of this year’s charitable endeavours.

Kicking off the 40th edition of the Miami Open presented by Itaú, taking place March 16 – 30, First Serve Miami coaches hosted a special clinic with Protective Life Corporation (Protective), the exclusive life insurance partner of the Miami Open, and their charitable partner Amigos for Kids on one of the main courts at Hard Rock Stadium. The clinic gathered 35 students from Amigos for Kids with tennis players Renata Zarazúa and Nicolás Jarry, where they practiced drills, connected with players and got a firsthand look into the game of tennis.
First Serve Miami is a not-for-profit organization that was created to help promote the game of tennis in South Florida’s underserved communities. Since 1974, they have exposed over 50,000 youths from various communities to tennis, life skills, and other enrichment programs.
First Serve Miami reaches approximately 1,500 children in 17 parks within South Florida’s underserved communities. The Miami Open has a history of supporting First Serve Miami, offering facilities for their Annual Fundraising Dinner Event and providing them with free tickets for their youth participants to attend tennis sessions. The Miami Open also financially supports First Serve through various incentives and discounts helping them maximize their annual budget for youth program operations.

Building on the momentum from last year’s collaboration, Protective continues to support Amigos For Kids as part of their second-year sponsorship. Amigos For Kids works to prevent child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families and educating communities. Children attending the clinic were selected through a new curriculum-based ‘Acts of Kindness Challenge’.
Sponsor activations will deliver off-court experiences to match the on-court excellence of the world’s best tennis players competing at the iconic Hard Rock Stadium, helping bring to life the tournament’s slogan, ‘Where tennis comes to play.’
The 2025 Miami Open will be played March 16 – March 30 at Hard Rock Stadium. The 15-day combined event is owned and operated by IMG. The Miami Open is one of nine ATP Masters 1000 Series events on the ATP calendar, a WTA 1000 event on the WTA calendar, and features the top men’s and women’s tennis players in the world. The tournament is widely regarded as the most glamorous on the ATP and WTA calendars because of Miami’s unique personality, thriving nightlife, five-star hotels and restaurants, beautiful weather and beaches, and celebrity appeal, as well as its close proximity to both Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
