Boca Raton, FL – Recognizing that investment in knowledge pays the best interest, The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach is gearing up for a month full workshops and programs as well as providing resources, throughout April in honor of Financial Literacy Month.    Workshops for adults will cover topics focused on budgeting, retirement planning, credit, debt, and asset protection from identity theft. Additionally, the library will introduce “Thinking Money for Kids” programming provided through grant-funded partnership with the American Library Association and FINRA Investor Education Foundation. Through interactive games and giveaways, this program is designed to teach children and their parents, caregivers, and educators about financial topics — like saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting — in a way that is both meaningful and fun.

“The library is thrilled to be able to offer financial literacy resources and programs for every age range so that everyone can educate themselves and make informed decisions when it comes to money,” said Lisa Hathaway, Library Director.

The “Mayor’s Education Fair” and “Teens, Get That Job” are also scheduled to take place during financial literacy month, highlighting financial aid resources and the importance of employability for establishing financial well-being.
