WELLINGTON, FL – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of valuable clinical research samples from a local treatment center.

The incident occurred on January 24, 2025, at approximately 5:31 PM at the Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment Center, located on the 2700 block of State Road 7 in Wellington.

According to investigators, an unidentified male suspect took advantage of multiple boxes left unattended in front of the facility. The stolen items consisted of clinical research samples valued at approximately $75,000. While no patient information was compromised, the theft has forced the suspension of ongoing clinical trials pending re-testing.

  • The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene in a silver 4-door Honda Civic.
