April 26th marks the end of National Infertility Awareness Week, an annual recognition of the struggles faced by those battling infertility and reproductive health problems while opening the door to increased advocacy, knowledge, and solutions.
Ahead of the curve was the 2025 Florida Fertility Expo, hosted in Fort Lauderdale from April 18th to 19th, which provided much-needed resources during a time when the reproductive world is undergoing rapid changes.

Founded by Michelle McKoy, the 7th annual expo brought together reproductive health industry professionals, practitioners, cutting edge fem tech, the newest research in integrative fertility, legal expertise, and much more for attendees, many of whom are undergoing treatment to grow their families and seeking advice and connection along the way.
The two-day expo, which kickstarted with a Reproductive and Maternal Health Summit in honor of Black Maternal Health Week, hosted several workshops and panels covering subjects near and dear to those overcoming infertility, such as egg freezing, fibroids, high-risk pregnancy, surrogacy, PCOS, egg donation, adoption, foster care, IVF, IUI, integrative medicine, diet, acupuncture, male infertility, and maternal health. The expo provided an inclusive, engaging environment for attendees to share their experiences while learning from some of the world’s leading authorities in the sector.
“My own journey to motherhood was a bumpy ride; I navigated physical and mental pain, struggling for 20 years to find solutions until I gave birth at 50-years-old to my beautiful daughter,” said McKoy, a life-long Infertility Advocate. “This year’s expo was a true labor of love- it was an incredible culmination of the knowledge, empowerment, tools, and support I know is needed, and that I wish I had, in order to thrive when embarking on this challenging path.”

This year’s expo also welcomed Coral Springs attorney and Rader Law Group Founder Andrew Rader, an IVF-negligence specialist who has previously made Florida headlines for his efforts fighting for victims of medical malpractice and IVF mix-ups. A keynote speaker for the event, Rader offered attendees an exclusive look into the legal side of the reproductive health world, providing tools and information to ensure those undergoing treatment understand the risks and options they have for justice. Rader’s speech can be viewed here.
Rader stated, “I am honored that I could offer those who attended the expo a new perspective on how they can protect themselves. Treatments such as IVF are life-changing, but they are not without risks. Having the knowledge of what precautions to take and who to contact when in need is paramount for success, and I look forward to providing support to those who need it as the U.S. advances changes in the industry.”
The 7th Annual Expo also welcomed key speakers Belinda Wurn, Pt, and Larry Wurn, Lmt., (Clear Passage Therapy), Dr. Marcelo Barrinuevo (IVF Florida Reproductive Associates) Dr. Hernandez Rey (Conceptions Florida), Jocelyn Gordon, Fertility Optimization & Conscious Conception Coach Embodiment & Wellness Content Creator Creator of HoopYogini™ & Bhakti Boogie Yoga Called a “Yoga Rebel” by Yoga Journal Magazine, Dr. George Xavier Love Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncture Physician, Blue Dragon Immortal Qigong Master, DrQiLove.com, Dr. Robert Kiltz, MD, Founder and Director of CNY Fertility, Susan Kersch-Kibler (Delivering Dreams International Surrogacy Agency), Dr. Yaron Seidman (Hunyan Life Wellness Spa), Maria Kowalski (La Musa Circle), Christina Antoni (At Your Cervixx, Inc.), Tenesha Avent (March of Dimes), Laura Sgroi, Speaker | Coach | Author | Podcaster, Jamarah Amani, LM (Licensed Midwife), Kiyona Miah & Jasmine, Mastin, Founders “Creating safe spaces for black yogis to practice, heal, and connect,” and Michelle Mckoy.
